She attended masterful lectures by German professors Olaf Koch and Gert Frishmuth regarding to orchestral and choral direction in Cuba and Germany. Her fine and singular style is highly acclaimed, that's why she has been invited to give lectures on Choral Direction at specialized centers from different countries.

On 1982, she created the Cohesión Chorus, which meant a new proposal for the Cuban choral movement due to its new and fresh conception, its repertoire and scene performing . On 1987, she founded the Chorus of Lyric Study and received favorable appraisal in Spain. Camerata Romeu saw the light in 1993 as a female orchestra aimed at recreating latin and national values.

This singular orchestra has its permanent venue at the Basílica Menor from Convento de San Francisco de Asís. Its musical structure is made taking as starting point a strings ensemble as heritage of the Central-European tradition, focusing, in a very special way, on the execution, promotion and recognition of the Cuban music of chamber in particular and the Latin American chamber music in general.

In 1966, the first CD by Camerata Romeu, ''La Bella Cubana'' made its bow at the musical world and won prizes of Chamber Music and Critic Prize, becoming a classic of Cuban music in this style. The music of Ignacio Cervantes is recreated by the Camerata in the CD ''Cervantes, cuatro pianos'' from Bis Music discography in 1999 and in 2002 the CD ''Cuba Mía'' arrives from the same label and is nominated to Cubadisco 2002 Prize in the category of Chamber Music.

The Camerata has gained significative national and international recognition and it's considered unique and exceptional due to the cultural values it promotes, its repertoire and scene performance holding an undoubted Cuban taste.
