Havana City , Cuba , 1978. Graduated from the Conservatory Amadeo Roldán where he studied classic piano. His creative talent and academic education confer the young musician an exquisite technique and very solid concepts of composition and improvisation.
He is part of theyoung talented musicians’ boom in the musical world, that has taken place in Cuba in the last few years, said Andrés Alén about the eminent Cuban pianist and composer.
His works gather elements from jazz, Caribbean, concert and Cuban music, old time and present day music, as simple of it there are his modern tumbaos and incursions in genres as danzón, cha-cha-chá and son, improved with diverse formats.
In the year 1999, a demanding jury headed by Master Chucho Valdés, granted him an important prize in the Jo-Jazz contest (Young jazz musicians of Cuba).
Since then he has developed an interesting and ascending career in music, outstanding as a pianist of excellence.
