Composer,
musicologist and flutist. In 1985, he got his Doctorate in Theory
of Music at Fryderyk Chopin Academy in Varsovia. Professor of Composition
and orchestration and member of Comission for Scientific Grades at
Superior Institute of Art (ISA).
Vice-Presidenet from National Union of Cuban Writers and Artists for
the attention to music and
since 1987, President of International Festival Boleros de Oro. In
1992, received Annual Prize of Recognition for the whole creative
work.
Among his major works, we can highlight: Music for flutes and strings,
1970; Music alive, no.1 for percussion instruments; Three poetic images,
for voice, baritone and piano, 1972. Music alive no.2 for symphonic
orchestra. Monzon and King of Koré, opera in three acts, 1973.
Cantata to Martyrs of September 5, for reciter, chorus and orchestra,
1974. Poetic of Guerilla Fighter, for voice and orchestra and Homage
to Brindis de Salas, for solo violin 1975.
