In Mario Benedetti's opinion on 1991...
''Nancy Morejón is one of the most original poetic voices
in Cuba after 1959. Being translated to different languages and
translator at the same time, her poetic labor together with her
critic and essayist work, have transformed her in a unavoidable
figure of Cuban literary reality. (...)
Love and city will be a permanent theme; they are her two discoveries,
her revelations. Faithful reader in different languages, she takes
surrealistic vibrations and the communicative capacity in the conversational
poetry, adding provocative explorations to her definitive-original
labor.
