Raúl
Corrales, Ciego de Ávila, 1925
Photographer. His work is a faithful register of historical events.
He made studies at the specialty of Graphic Technician at Journalism
School Manuel Márquez Sterling.
He has exhibited in Cuba, Brazil, Venezuelan, Argentina, Italy, Mexico,
France, Belgic, Germany and United States.
In 1996, he
received the National
Prize of Plastic Arts of Cuba.

Ministry, National Salon (Havana, Cuba, 1980); Collective Prize,
Prize of Contemporary Latin American and Caribbean Photography, Casa
de las Américas (Havana, Cuba, 1981) and Prize Salon UNEAC'82

Corrales' work
has been gathered on book: Cuba, The Image and the History,
having sixty three photographic images. ...In this book of Art, Raúl
Corrales states the dignity of the photography, which is an over-talked
technical support, underestimated about its creative possibilities
and considered only as a simple reproductor far from the artistic
creation and recreation...(1)
