This space, aimed at promoting the Cuban video clip, made its bow on the summer of 1997 through the Lucas project, ''a possibility to show what can be possible within the video clip world and inside this universe of creation, interesting things, how a TV program could haul lots of people and, at the same time, help to develop this genre while complementing the record cycle of promotion and production within the island''.

Nowadays, Lucas and its Prizes, has became a goal, a stimulus for creation. From the initial 27 clips made in Cuba on 1997; 2002 closed approaching a number close to 107. Very long has been the road in making legitimate an space having diverse names and characters as Lucas, enimagtic, suggesting and feeding the public`s imagination, but the outcome is pretty visible. Young figures has found a place to expose their creations and this program managed to convert itself on a useful space to go with our recording productions. Whoever attempts to establish a close contact with public, and setting up on the entire market along the island, has to do with Lucas.

This project is not only approaching the TV program or Prizes, but also is about to finish the production of a radio program to talk about all those themes that are not possible to undertake on just half an hour of TV, propitious also for jury members and musical makers, essential actors of video movement around the island, to give opinions and promote polemic themes.

In just a short time, Havana city will have Lucas Cafe, a real place, capable to hold Lucas`s spirit and atmosphere that will soon become Video Clip House. There, new releases and press debates will take place, plus the presentation of Lucas nominees, who will be directly in touch with the public.

It will also feature concerts of rock, pop, popular music and other genres being further more useful material for future records of video clips and small documentaries approaching the production process of these products, simulating a making off.
